Melinni “Mel” Taylor, M.S.W., is a certified Community Partner Work Incentive Counselor (CPWIC) based in Austin. She established Deaf Future Works in 2013 providing benefits advisement on Social Security and state specific benefits to the Deaf community. Deaf and fluent in ASL, she holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work from Gallaudet University. Previously, she worked as a case manager and as an addiction counselor for non-profit agencies. Mel works with individuals and organizations to advise them on issues, procedures and matters related to the Social Security benefits program.
