Jason Robinson
Board Member
Jason is Vice President of Hospital Based Specialties and Academic Affairs at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center (LHMC) in Burlington, MA (part of Beth Israel Lahey Health).
In this role, he is responsible for the planning, execution and strategic oversight of the administrative operations of all clinical services within the Department of Hospital Based Specialties (Emergency Department, Anesthesiology, Laboratory Medicine, Radiology, Rehabilitation Services, and Pharmacy) across all LHMC sites. In addition, Jason provides executive and strategic oversight of Academic Affairs (including Graduate/Undergraduate Medical Education, Continuing Medical Education, and Professional Development/Simulation).
Prior to his current role, Jason served as Executive Director of Hospital Medical Specialties at LHMC for two years, with executive oversight of the divisions of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, Hospital Medicine, Infectious Diseases, and Palliative Care. Additionally, he has held leadership positions at Massachusetts General Hospital and Tufts Medical Center. Jason has industry experience at Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation (Stratford, CT) and previously served for 8 years as a commissioned officer in the United States Navy.
Jason served as the initial COVID-19 Incident Commander for LHMC from January through March of 2020 and later led surge planning efforts in subsequent surges at the hospital. He sits on the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council of Beth Israel Lahey Health.
After graduating from the University of Virginia with a double major in psychology and philosophy, Jason attended the Navy’s Officer Candidate School in Pensacola, FL before embarking on his Navy career. He later earned his Master of Business Administration and Master of Public Health degrees from Yale University. Additionally, Jason has completed executive education at McKinsey & Company (the inaugural Black Executive Leadership cohort) and Harvard Business School (Massachusetts Health Leadership College).
He resides in Newton, MA with his wife (and DEAFinitely, Inc. Founder!) Jamie and their two kids.
